The condensing unit rests on a base rail equipped with vibration spring-type isolation. The base rail is mounted to a leveling platform provided by the general contractor. The platform sits atop the roof assembly and incorporates a minimum six-inch metal flashing along with composition flashing at the base for weatherproofing. All equipment pads and mounting details require approval by the building engineer prior to installation and must meet building standards.
