The ceiling diffuser connects to a flexible duct with a maximum length of 8 feet, which must be supported independently of the diffuser itself. A square to round adapter is used where required, secured with a nylon strap featuring a locking clasp on both inside and outside layers. In lay-in ceiling installations, the diffuser is centered within a 2x4 or 2x2 ceiling panel supported by T-bar grids. Surface-mount installations require a minimum 24-gauge sheet metal channel installed completely around the diffuser on all four sides.
