A roof mounted exhaust fan is installed over a roof opening sized two inches larger than the exhaust duct. The assembly mounts on a prefabricated roof curb supported by the roof deck. Continuous roofing and waterproofing membrane integrates with perimeter flashing around the curb. An internal backdraft damper regulates airflow, and a birdscreen protects the exhaust outlet.
