The condensate drain assembly connects to the drip pan using an IPS copper adapter and incorporates a P-trap with dimensions determined by the air handling unit static pressure. A clean-out plug is installed above the 180-degree bend, and an open vent extends upward with spacing sized to suit site conditions. The vertical drop terminates above finished grade with a 50mm air gap discharging into a floor drain or receptor. A split pipe clamp with a 9mm threaded rod secures the vertical pipe run. Sizing parameters for dimensions A and B vary depending on whether the unit is a draw-through or blow-through type, where X represents the total static pressure in the drain pan.
