An appliance connects to branch piping sized per plan using rigid pipe matching the unit connection size. The assembly incorporates a shut-off valve, an approved medium pressure regulator equipped with a vent limiting device within ten pipe diameters maximum, a ground joint union, and a test tee. An eighteen-inch maximum flexible gas connector links the regulator train to the appliance. A drip leg with an integrated test tee is provided at the bottom of the vertical branch piping drop, and all work is coordinated with the International Fuel Gas Code.
