The unit heater is suspended from the building structure using four 3/8-inch diameter steel rods equipped with turnbuckles, maintaining a minimum clearance of 1 foot. The gas supply line includes a shut-off cock, a gas pressure regulator, a union, and a flexible gas connection to the unit. A drip leg and cleanout are provided on the gas piping branch. The exhaust vent terminates at the roof with an anti-backdraft cap, requiring flash and counter-flash to ensure a watertight seal. The contractor is responsible for providing a deferred submittal for seismic bracing.
