A utility fan base is bolted or welded to a height-saving bracket, which is connected to an adjustment bolt and a seismic type spring isolator, specifically a Mason model SSLFH with a minimum of two inches of deflection. The isolator is anchored to a concrete housekeeping pad over a concrete roof deck, with expansion bolts securing the base plate and a watertight seal applied underneath. A twenty-two gauge galvanized sheet metal cap and counter flashing protects the curb assembly, transitioning down past a cant strip to meet the roofing material. Quarter-inch diameter expansion bolts at eighteen inches on center with silicone secure the counter flashing to the side of the concrete pad.
