A 316L stainless steel gooseneck duct penetrates the roof assembly with a specified duct size and maintains a minimum four hundred sixty millimeters clearance above the roof deck. Standard duct construction seams are made watertight. Roofing flashing seals the duct penetration at the roof surface. The duct opening is fitted with a thirteen millimeter screen secured within a metal screen frame, using angle iron reinforcing, bolts, and angles that are riveted or spot welded as required. The hood sizing increases the cross-sectional area by twenty-five percent over the duct size.
