The pipe size matches the drain pan outlet unless indicated otherwise and runs to the nearest approved receptor. The vertical drop incorporates a tee with a cleanout typically, and unions are provided for maintenance access. Design requirements specify trap dimensions based on fan inlet static pressure plus one inch or three inches whichever is larger, or one-half fan inlet static pressure plus one inch.
