A vertical pipe passes through a concrete floor slab on metal deck via a pipe sleeve extended one inch above the floor. A riser clamp secures the pipe above the sleeve, maintaining a one-quarter to one-half inch minimum gap. Caulk or fire caulk per specifications seals each end of the sleeve. Optional pipe insulation continues through the assembly, and an escutcheon plate is provided where piping is exposed.
