The suspended pipe assembly hangs from an overhead support structure by a threaded hanger rod secured with double nuts and an eyebolt satisfying ASCE 7-05 13.6.8. A standard clevis assembly or other approved pipe hanger supports the insulated pipe containing a rigid insert and sheet metal insert. Seismic cable bracing per SMACNA is installed typically for pipe drops greater than 12 inches for cold services 1 1/4 inches and larger in mechanical rooms, cold services 2 1/2 inches and larger at all other locations, and insulated roof and overflow roof drain lines.
