An insulated flexible duct connects a sheet metal duct branch to a ceiling diffuser with a matching border style. The round duct branch wrap consists of one-inch thick foil scrim kraft insulation with an acoustically lined or wrapped duct branch as required by specifications. A volume damper is installed in the transition, and the flexible duct run is restricted to a maximum of three feet with no elbows greater than 30 degrees from the vertical. Stainless steel worm-driven clamps and UL approved mastic sealant secure the flexible duct to the sheet metal duct at both ends.
