An acoustically lined or wrapped rectangular duct branch transitions to a round duct wrapped with one-inch thick foil scrim kraft insulation. A volume damper regulates airflow within the transition before connecting to an insulated flexible ductwork run limited to a three-foot maximum length with no elbows greater than thirty degrees from the vertical. Stainless steel worm-driven clamps and UL-approved mastic sealant attach the flexible duct to the sheetmetal collar. The assembly terminates at a hung ceiling with a border style matching the ceiling type.
