A rooftop heat pump unit is supported on a factory-furnished curb with a wood nailer and gasket bearing directly on the roof assembly. A full-size condensate drain with a trap extends from the unit to an approved receptor. The outdoor air intake features an economizer or outside air hood as noted, equipped with an activated charcoal filter to address ozone, while an internal MERV 13 filter addresses PM2.5. Lined supply air and return air ducts drop through the roof deck, with a smoke detector installed per the schedule. Roofing cant, level roof, and counterflashing are provided by the general contractor.
