The roof exhaust fan utility set mounts onto a prefabricated equipment support anchored to the roof deck, with insulation and roofing material providing the building envelope. A fan base rail sits atop vibration isolation units per specifications, supported level on the equipment support curb. A counter flashing hood is secured with angle iron welded to the hood on the bottom and welded or fastened to the equipment platform on top, maintaining a penetration-free flashing assembly. The fan outlet duct extension features an extended top opening away from the bottom opening to mitigate rain entering the fan housing. A fan housing drain and drain plug are provided for maintenance.
