An externally insulated takeoff connects to a pre-insulated flexible duct feeding a ceiling diffuser set flush in the ceiling plane. The takeoff features an integrated volume damper with a damper lock and extension. Foil tape seals the insulation joints, while metallic or non-metallic bands secure the duct connections. A rigid ninety-degree elbow is incorporated where required to maintain the flexible duct within the five-foot length limitation without kinking or sharp turns.
