A rectangular duct passes through a shaft opening within a shaft wall and is supported by steel supports spanning the opening. Fasteners secure the duct to the steel supports as required. The steel supports attach to the structure per the seismic anchorage submittal, maintaining the minimum edge distance. The shaft wall and clear inside diameter are provided by others.
