A vertical duct support strap is positioned within one foot six inches of any change of direction and attached to wall backing per structural specifications. The duct size is determined per plan and secured against a steel stud framed wall that provides a minimum of two bays of backing. A P1000 Unistrut ledger is fastened to the wall using half-inch machine bolts with Unistrut P1010 channel nuts. One-inch by twenty-gauge duct straps wrap the duct and are fastened with number ten sheet metal screws spaced at six inches on center, with a maximum spacing of forty-eight inches on center.
