A downblast exhaust fan is set on and attached to a prefabricated 12-inch roof curb mounted over a roof deck. The curb features a wood nailer, 1 1/2-inch, 3 lbs density thermal and acoustical insulation, and base flashing detailed per architectural drawings. Roofing materials tie into the curb base per architectural specifications. An 18 gauge galvanized steel exhaust duct connects below with a motorized damper.
