A fire and smoke damper assembly is installed within a typical rated construction wall penetrating into the ductwork. The assembly incorporates airfoil blades, operating linkages, and specified duct insulation along the duct exterior. The mounting frame secures directly to the rated construction boundary with a grille or register affixed at the face.
