The ERV-1 or 2 unit base rail bears on a 2-inch by 1/4-inch neoprene gasket atop a metal curb. Holddown S-clips are fastened to each corner using four number 10 by 1/2-inch TEK screws per clip, anchoring the unit base rail to the curb. The metal curb incorporates 1-1/2-inch rigid insulation, a plywood skirt with single-ply roofing, and counterflashing. The curb assembly rests on 2x wood leveling blocks and is bolted through to underlying metal purlins using 1/2-inch bolts with nuts and lock washers spaced at 24 inches on center. Coordinate with architectural for the interface with the insulated metal standing seam roof system.
