A flexible duct connects to a ceiling diffuser through a rigid duct transition secured with fasteners on all sides. A three-eighths inch bead on the duct collar and a three-eighths inch band secure the flexible duct. The assembly is suspended using vertical duct supports and stabilized with diagonal seismic straps. A manual volume damper is installed in the rigid duct with a minimum two-and-a-half times diameter centerline turning radius.
