A duct penetrates a metal deck roof and is sealed with stainless steel flashing installed by the general contractor. A counterweighted backdraft damper is integrated into the bottom of the duct opening. The duct curb is secured with a one and a half inch by three-eighths inch closed cell neoprene self-adhesive gasket and stainless steel truss head screws per the manufacturer's recommendations.
