An indirect waste pipe with a pitched horizontal run discharges through an open air gap into a floor drain or other approved location to prevent backflow contamination. A cleanout is provided at the terminal end of the piping run. A trap maintains a liquid seal depth defined by dimension X, with dimension H measuring the vertical clearance to the bottom of the drain pan.
