Pipes penetrate through the roof deck assembly protected by a sheet metal hood and a flexible or sheet metal tube collar. Base flashing is secured with nominal fasteners spaced approximately eight inches on center, while base flashing fasteners are spaced approximately twenty-four inches on center. Pipes slope away from the hood to prevent water accumulation. The interior of the metalwork is insulated in cold climates.
