This roof drain installation detail shows a standard roof drain assembly set into a profiled steel deck topped with insulation. The roof drain features an extension piece and a dome strainer, with roofing material clamped directly into the drain body at the perimeter. A receiver pan supports the drain assembly above the steel deck. An underdeck clamp secured with threaded rods and nuts grips the underside of the deck to anchor the drainage piping.
