Rod stiffeners used on equipment cable bracing require specific installation measures. A threaded rod by the contractor is reinforced with a 12-gauge 1-5/8 inch by 1-5/8 inch strut channel tube attached via rod stiffener clamps provided in kits of eight. Maximum unsupported lengths and spacing parameters for rod diameters ranging from 3/8 inch to 7/8 inch are specified in accompanying tables. The assembly connects equipment to overhead support using diagonal bracing cables and clamping hardware.
