A service pipe penetrates a concrete wall through an integral sleeve equipped with a waterstop and a hydrophobic water stop or subgrade sealant. The exterior pipe features polyurethane insulation encased in an HDPE jacket, surrounded by a leak detection cable and sealed with six-inch-wide heat shrink sleeves. Two link seals, accessed from the interior building space, provide a watertight mechanical seal around the pipe. An FRP sleeve is trimmed to the correct circumference, with its longitudinal seam filled with adhesive. Field measurements of the nominal outer diameter plus one-half inch are required to correctly size the link seals.
