A vent pipe penetrates a roof assembly, topped with a vandal-resistant vent cap and secured with a cast iron set screw type counterflashing. A galvanized steel reinforced boot provides roof flashing with a six-inch skirt and a five-inch minimum height. Sealant fills the annular space between the flashing and the counterflashing skirt. The vent pipe size and location are per plans, and roof construction details are coordinated with architectural drawings.
