A sidewall supply register and fire damper connect to the wall framing using code-gauge mounting angles and fasteners. A code-gauge sleeve houses the damper assembly, with the damper actuator mounted outside the airstream. The duct connects to the sleeve using a hemmed S-slip connection or a Ductmate breakaway connection, sealed airtight. An access panel is provided on the ductwork for maintenance.
