The assembly is built over a metal roof deck with roof insulation filling the interior of the curb. Framing consists of 2" x 12" wood members secured directly to the roof deck, topped with three-quarter-inch plywood and capped with an inverted galvanized sheet metal cap. Rigid insulation surrounds the exterior of the curb, transitioning into the roofing membrane via a cant strip. Mechanical equipment mounts to the top of the curb using enclosed spring vibration isolators, which are securely anchored to both the equipment and the curb structure.
