A dedicated outdoor air system unit support features a seismic isolator spring and a separate seismic snubber. The mechanical equipment leg bears upon an isolator steel base plate with an oversized anchor hole as required. The base nut is torqued without the neoprene washer or bushing to expand the anchor, then the torque is reduced to five foot-pounds maximum before applying a double nut to lock the steel washer. A Mason HG neoprene washer and bushing sit beneath the steel washer, while an additional three-quarter-inch Mason Super-W neoprene waffle pad is installed beneath the assembly. The separate seismic snubber is anchored to the equipment platform per structural plan requirements.
