Internal duct insulation consists of a minimum 1.5 PCF density and 1.0 inch thick duct liner adhered to the interior of a galvanized iron duct. All liner ends are coated with adhesive such as Miracle PF96 and butted firmly together with top and bottom sections overlapping the sides. Metal fasteners like Omark Insul-Pins, Dura Dyne fasteners, or grip nails are installed at a maximum spacing of 12 inches on center. Fasteners are placed not more than 2 inches from the edge of the liner and installed using a grip nail hammer or automatic fastener equipment.
