This parallel inline pump piping arrangement includes service valves isolating each pump circuit along with pressure and temperature test plugs and compound pressure gauges typically located throughout the assembly. A minimum straight pipe distance of seven pipe diameters is required between the strainer outlet and the pump inlet, while a minimum of four pipe diameters is maintained between the pump outlet and the check valve. The discharge side incorporates a venturi flow measuring station followed by a balancing valve prior to connecting to the main system. Minimum straight pipe lengths are maintained as recommended by the venturi manufacturer to ensure accurate flow measurement.
