An eight-inch fire sprinkler standpipe extends thirty-six inches above the finished floor level and connects to a six-inch trap and waste pipe assembly below. A trap primer line ties into the waste side of the trap, while a three-inch vent pipe rises vertically through the floor slab. The vent pipe passes through a typical sleeve pipe installed through the floor construction before connecting horizontally to a six-inch waste line.
