An insulated pipe penetrates a roof assembly comprising steel decking, R-19 insulation, and plywood sheathing set with walking pads in mastic. The vertical pipe features one-inch insulation and Therma-Shield covered by an aluminum jacketing that extends over the counter flashing. A Stoneman lead flashing model number 1000 with a six-inch skirt and four-pound weight is fastened with galvanized roofing nails spaced four inches on center, positioned continuously around the perimeter two inches in from the flashing edge. The joint is filled with mastic and sealed with urethane caulk.
