The assembly features a combination smoke/fire damper housed inside a sleeve connected to duct break-away joints and sealed with caulking material. Mounting angles secure the damper frame to the rated ceiling system, while an actuator, over-center link, connecting rod, and flexible conduit provide mechanical operation. A grille or diffuser is positioned at the ceiling plane with an access door above.
