A utility set exhaust fan sits on a sleeper mounted on an existing roof and rests on vibration isolators if necessary. The fan connects to a three-foot upblast exhaust stack and transitions via a flex connection to a duct elbow containing a water-tight access door. The duct penetrates the roof assembly through a curb with two-by blocking, base flashing with hot mopping by others, and cap flashing with caulking. A damper is installed in the duct below the roof deck.
