An industrial exhaust hood assembly is positioned over a tank or vat with a channel support framework. The system incorporates three continuous intake slots measuring seven and a half feet in length by three-quarters of an inch wide, delivering a slot velocity of two thousand feet per minute at three thousand cubic feet per minute total airflow. The transitional hood features a forty-five degree minimum slope tapering up to a sixteen-inch diameter circular duct connection from the overhead exhaust. The plenum is constructed from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride or polyvinyl chloride material rated for category one metal corrosion. Calculations follow the industrial ventilation manual seventeenth edition for an eight-foot by three-foot tank size, resulting in a hood pressure drop of fifty-one hundredths of an inch.
