A structural hanger assembly is suspended from the lower flutes of a concrete deck. A Unistrut P1000 channel is anchored to the concrete using two half-inch diameter Hilti KB-TZ2 expansion anchors with a three-and-a-quarter-inch effective embedment, spaced at a maximum of one foot zero inches between anchors. A suspended threaded rod is secured through the Unistrut channel using a hex nut and a half-inch diameter Mason break-off bolt. The hanger maintains a maximum one-inch clearance between the rod and the center of the lower flute.
