A pipe penetrates a fire-rated wall through a metal pipe sleeve set into the partition. The pipe is wrapped with fiberglass pipe insulation, transitioning to rockwool pipe insulation at the penetration for a distance of six inches on each side. Fireproof caulk is applied as a through-penetration firestop sealant on both sides of the wall between the sleeve and the insulated pipe.
