This assembly connects rectangular ductwork to fan units or adjacent duct sections using a flexible material insertion to isolate vibration. Specified sheet metal connects with a flanged connection and a 1" flange and hem, secured by bolts and washers. One-inch by one-eighth band iron clamps the flexible material with bolts spaced on four-inch centers. The flexible material maintains an installed dimension ranging from one and a half to three inches, with a six-inch nominal length when taut.
