Piping penetrates the roof assembly through a roof curb with a protective hood, coordinating with architectural roof deck, insulation, and vapor barrier materials. Stainless steel screws secure the hood on at least three sides, located six inches from the end and twelve inches on center with a maximum one-half inch clearance. Pipes are sloped away from the hood and fitted with a loose joint to accommodate movement.
