This assembly provides transverse and longitudinal seismic restraint for piping supported by clevis hangers. The system utilizes wire rope or cable installed taut at angles between 30 and 90 degrees relative to the structure. A U-bolt with channel strut is installed on top of the pipe to prevent longitudinal sliding through the clevis hanger. The support rod includes a stiffener to meet specific seismic requirements. Cable connections to the structure and the braced components are referenced to separate typical detail sheets.
