Copper direct expansion pipes run within a six-inch diameter galvanized steel ductwork sleeve penetrating the roof assembly. A galvanized steel flashing surrounds the duct with a continuous seal at the connection. The roof opening is sealed at the deck penetration, and the ends of the duct around the pipes are sealed with spray foam.
