A rectangular duct is supported by one-and-one-quarter-inch by sixteen-gauge sheet metal straps suspended from the metal roof deck. The straps are double-folded at the top and secured to the deck with three-eighths-inch diameter expansion bolts. The straps are attached to the sides of the duct using number ten sheet metal screws spaced at six inches on center. The bottom of the strap is bent under the duct to provide a seat. A note specifies that the installer must use the specified spacing and provide at least one support per branch.
