A bellmouth transition fitting connects a rectangular duct to an acoustic housing with a forty-five degree sloped transition wall. Acoustic fill lines the interior space surrounding the sloped transition fitting. The fitting length L equals one quarter of the greatest duct dimension, maintaining a minimum length of six inches and a maximum length of twelve inches.
