Suspended VAV box support assembly utilizing either a 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/8" angle iron or a 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" 12-gauge strut channel spanning beneath the duct. The support member is hung from overhead by hanger rods secured with nuts and washers on both sides of the angle typically. Lateral stability is provided by 3/16" diameter aircraft cable sway bracing attached typically.
