A galvanized sheet metal roof jack passes through a leveled curbed roof opening over the roof deck and roofing. The opening around the duct is packed with insulation and retained below the roof by a galvanized sheet metal closure. An insect screen covers the opening, and the roof cap is secured to the roof curb using number eight self-tapping screws at twelve inches on center with a minimum of two screws per side.
