An air handler drain pan connects to a condensate drain line containing a union fitting and a p-trap. The drain size matches the nipple on the drain pan, and the horizontal run pitches down toward termination at a minimum of one-eighth inch per foot slope. Vertical drop dimensions for the trap require a minimum of two inches for dimension A and one point five times static pressure for dimension B. A capped tee with a screwed cap serves as a cleanout at the end and at each change of direction, while further pipe continuation follows the project plans.
